I find this is one of the big problems with the nerdfighter community; they’re too engrossed in their community of people who like the same exact things as they do, and they define themselves so much by these vapid fandoms that when someone dislikes a show or book or disagrees with a certain widely-held nerdfighter opinion, it’s heresy.
It’s cool to like books, and it’s cool to like shows, but defining yourself by these things and surrounding yourself with people who think exactly like you do will make you more close-minded to outside opinions.
If I lose followers for this that’d do nothing but further my argument. (Discourse is good though)
